Directions to the Boston University indoor rowing tanks (Winter)
300 Babcock Street, Boston, MA 02134
(Make sure to allow for traffic–it’s a busy area.)
The tanks are in a building at the corner of Babcock Street and Ashford Street. The entrance to the lower or basement level is on Babcock Street, about 1/2 block past Ashford. There is a door with a light above it. Coaches and/or rowers will meet at this door.
There is metered parking on Ashford and Babcock Streets. Make sure to feed the meter until 6:00 pm. You can also use the ParkBoston app. A parking lot is on this block–beneath the BU New Balance Athletic field. It costs about $10.00 to park.
Directions to Boston University’s DeWolfe Boathouse (Spring, Summer, Fall)
619 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139
(Please allow enough time to get there, park and walk to the boathouse.)
There is no parking at the boathouse. There is metered parking behind the Hyatt Regency Hotel along Vassar Street, from Memorial Drive past the MIT Police Station. Meters need to be fed until 6 pm. You can also use the ParkBoston app to pay for meter parking.
If you go to the MIT website ( http://web.mit.edu/facilities/transportation/parking/visitors/ ) you will see a map that lists available parking lots.
Memorial Drive is very busy and most members cross at the light and cross-walk beside the Hyatt Regency Hotel, on Amesbury Street.
